KARTEL REMANDED AGAIN, POLICE ORDERED TO PRESENT TAPES

The same result has played out once again for prominent Dancehall superstar, Vybz Kartel in his ongoing murder case.

The incarcerated Portmore Empire leader was once again remanded when he appeared in the Supreme Court in Kingston on Friday in relation to the Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams murder trial. The Dancehall entertainer, who has been in custody since late September of last year, stands accused of murder, perverting the course of justice and conspiring to pervert the course of justice in the case. The World Boss has to return to court on April 27.

In related news, prosecutors in the Vybz Kartel murder case have until April 23 to release the tapes to defense.

This morning in the Home Circuit Court, Justice Majorie Cole Smith ordered the prosecution to release to the defence, the tapes of the electronic recordings implicating dancehall deejay.

The police have said that they have eyewitness statements, video and audio recordings linking Vybz Kartel and his co-defendants to the killing of Clive Lizard Williams.
